Eureka Art Radio (EAR) is the premier radio art broadcasting station for Eureka Springs, Arkansas. EAR provides a radical alternative to the universal formulae of mainstream radio broadcasting which so often caters to advertiser interests alone. What this equates to is freedom to create programs that engage our listeners.

Radical and unconventional, EAR...

• Provides a platform for discovery and experimentation to the creative community;
• Is in no hurry, because we only answer to ourselves;
• Facilitates and promotes the work of both emerging and established artists;
• Fosters a unique approach to radio programming in that our listeners are our designers;
• Is all about stimulating what's between the ears and promoting the art of listening;
• Believes in taking the time to stop, reflect and grow organically.

While global in our outlook, EAR has an eye on Eureka Springs, Arkansas and surrounding areas. Contributions from both emerging and established musicians, artists, writers and artisans who represent the creative and cultural diversity of the area are what give EAR its unique flavor and foster programs that explore original music, audio art, literature, nature, science and technology. EAR programming includes in-depth interviews, independent music and arts programs and cultural dialog.

We want to make EAR available to you wherever you are and, looking into the future, our goal is to be available to you on cell phones, wireless devices, satellite broadcasts, podcasts and more.

Literacy

An important underlying theme to all we do is the promotion of literacy and lifelong learning. By listening to you, it is our ongoing mission to create programming that gets into the head and entices the listener to want to know more. From time to time our programming will include public service announcements with similar campaign themes.
